The Process

Floral Preservation

Reserving Your Spot

I take a limited number of custom orders monthly. I encourage you to get your reservation in as early as possible. Extra spots are reserved for memorials. A $75 deposit is required to hold your date. There is a $200 minimum on custom orders.

Drying your Florals

The process of drying your florals begins as soon as they reach me. I will first give them a drink of cool flower water. After, I will place your florals in silica gel for 2-3 weeks to remove all moisture from them.

Final Touches

Once the piece(s) have been taken out of their molds, they will be sanded, top-coated, and polished.

Receiving Florals

You may ship or drop off your florals. If you are shipping I will provide you a link on how to safely get your flowers to me. If you are dropping off, I would need them 1-2 days after the event. I will send you a link on how to prep your florals for preservation.

Design and Create

Once the drying process is complete, I will begin to design your layout. If you have a specific layout in mind, I am happy to work with you on creating it. When the layout is decided, I then begin the creation in the mold. At this time 50% of your invoice total is due. This process can take up to 14 weeks or longer to complete. Please follow me on IG if interested in watching your progress. @kg_resindesign

Shipment or Pickup

If you live outside of Kansas City, MO and are unable to pick up at my home, I am happy to ship your pieces. Shipping will be an additional cost.
